This year鈥檚 PreK3 to Grade 2 concerts were held right in the heart of our M'KIS lower music studio, turning familiar learning spaces into warm, vibrant performance venues. The result? From original compositions to group pieces and solo performances, students across all classes demonstrated their musical growth, courage, cooperation, and love of learning. These classroom concerts allowed each child to shine uniquely; parents felt the heart and care poured into every moment. An intimate and joyful celebration of music, creativity, and connection shared between students, teachers, and families.

As the ES Music teacher, I chose to continue the classroom concert format we began experimenting with last year. I asked myself: How can I help every child shine meaningfully? How can I create unforgettable moments for them and their families? By focusing on a classroom-based concert structure, we ensured that parents could gain a more personalized view of the artistic development and behavior of their children.听

As a teacher, parent feedback is incredibly important to me. I was glad to see that parents enjoyed the unique ES Spring concerts.听

One parent said: 鈥淎s parents of a rather shy child, we were deeply moved to see him volunteer for a solo performance. We couldn鈥檛 be prouder of his courage and sense of humor; that alone was a big achievement and a special moment for our family. The song selections were also beautiful and meaningful, and despite their young age, the students delivered the lyrics with such clarity and emotion. It was heartwarming to see how well they communicated the messages through music. This experience will stay with us for a long time.鈥

Another said that: 鈥渢here was a good balance between individual and group performances. Given the diverse level of musical proficiency and limited time鈥verything was so well-organized and creative. It truly paid off in such a successful and memorable show!鈥

Finally, one parent said: you were all stars and should be proud of yourselves. Great job, everyone!鈥

Well done, Tigers! This was a shining moment of a true Tiger Times memory. These words recognize the students鈥 efforts and celebrate the intentional and inclusive approach to the concerts. They were concerts where artistic risk-taking, community collaboration, and joyful learning came together, and those in the room felt it.
Thank you to Mr. Ng Kwang Wee (Vee), Senior Media Designer for the pictures of this concert.
